Blankets and sheets
What if we played house
instead of this hide and seek
of some sorts
with us both hiding and nobody
wants to seek the glimpse of the sunshine
But then we danced
to the sound of crackling fire in the woods
deep as the night sky
What if it was a night without the poison
and we just ate snack at the diner
down that busy road of yours
This game seems tiring
maybe it's time to get that rusty glove
and unhang it from its shiny little hooks
What if I had not stayed
instead of bathing in your warm embrace
would it still be gone by morning?
